Terms for using Terrarium.

Local software

Grainwork gives you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the free local Terrarium watch for lawful work on repositories you are authorized to access. This includes commercial and workplace use. The local watch does not require an account.

You may not sell, sublicense, or distribute Terrarium as your own product, bypass paid-plan controls, interfere with the service, break the law, or violate someone else's rights. Rights that the law does not allow us to restrict remain unaffected.

Your work stays yours

You keep ownership of your repositories and Terrarium recordings. Grainwork LLC does not claim them. You are responsible for protecting recordings that contain confidential code, prompts, paths, or agent transcripts.

Paid plans

Founding Pro costs $12 per month or $120 per year for one person. You may use the license on your own machines, but may not share the license key or let another person use the paid features under the same subscription. Your Founding price stays the same while that subscription remains continuously active. Future price increases apply only to new buyers. If we later publish a lower price for the same billing interval, your price lowers too. You may request a full refund through hello@terrarium.watch within 14 days of your first Founding Pro charge; Grainwork processes approved refunds through Polar. This policy does not reduce any refund right provided by law or Polar's buyer terms. You can cancel through Polar, with paid access continuing through the current billing period.

Founding Pro lets you publish a selected recording as a compact encrypted browser timeline and summary linked to the exact local session. It is not the full animated terrain from the local watch. The complete URL is a bearer link: anyone who has it can open the replay without an account or Terrarium installation, and there are no per-recipient access controls. You choose when it expires: after 7, 30, or 90 days. You can revoke the link and delete the hosted copy.

One Pro license may retain up to 100 active hosted replay links or 2 GiB of active encrypted replay data, whichever comes first. Revoking a link or letting it expire returns capacity. This is an active-storage limit, not a lifetime publishing limit.

Each hosted-link record, complete URL, and replay-specific revoke proof stays only in the owner-only library on the publishing machine. Terrarium does not provide a cloud account library of your links. Use that machine to revoke before expiry. If its local record is lost, Terrarium cannot recreate the revoke proof, so the hosted copy remains available to anyone who already has the complete URL until its selected expiry.

If the subscription lapses, Terrarium stops new hosted uploads. Existing links keep their selected expiry unless you revoke or delete them first. You can still revoke links and delete hosted copies. Every local feature remains available, including the local watch, history, replay, snapshots, and brief.

Ending a subscription does not block, delete, degrade, or reformat local recordings created by the free watch.

What Terrarium can and cannot prove

Terrarium visualizes filesystem activity, hooks, and agent transcripts. Those sources can be incomplete or self-reported. Terrarium is an operating aid, not an audit certificate, security control, or guarantee that an agent performed a reported action correctly.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing agent work, protecting sensitive recordings, complying with repository and employer policies, and keeping appropriate backups. Do not use Terrarium to access data you are not authorized to inspect.

Availability and liability

Terrarium is provided as available and may change or sometimes be unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, Grainwork LLC disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or decisions made from Terrarium's display. Grainwork's total direct liability for Terrarium is limited to the amount you paid during the twelve months before the claim.

Some places do not allow every limitation above. In those places, each limitation applies only as far as the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Terrarium changes. If a change materially reduces a paid service, we will give reasonable advance notice. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
